PZ Robotics - Privacy Policy
A LEGAL DISCLAIMER
Effective date: [1, 1, 2025]
Entity: PZ Robotics, Inc. (“PZ Robotics”, “we”, “us”, “our”)
Contact: [privacy@pzrobotics.com] • [1200 South Figueroa, Los Angeles, CA]
We build industrial teleoperation and automation systems. We collect the minimum data needed to run our services safely and reliably, and we don’t run ad tech or sell your data.
1) Scope
This Policy covers our websites, cloud services, developer portals, support channels, and software/hardware products (the “Services”). Product-specific notices may apply in certain regions.
2) What we collect
A. You provide directly
-
Account & contact — name, work email, phone, company, role, authentication details you create.
-
Support & comms — messages, tickets, call notes/recordings (if support calls are recorded), surveys.
-
Files & content — logs, screenshots, CAD/task files you upload for troubleshooting or features you enable.
B. Collected automatically
-
Device/usage — IP address, browser/OS or app/SDK version, device identifiers, pages/screens viewed, timestamps, crash/diagnostics.
-
Robot & peripheral telemetry (only when your org enables it) — controller status, task parameters, performance metrics, error codes, and non-personally identifiable sensor streams used for reliability, safety, and product improvement.
-
Approximate location — derived from IP for security and localisation. We do not collect precise geolocation unless you enable a feature that needs it.
C. From third parties
-
Identity providers (SSO) for authentication.
-
Channel partners/resellers — business contact details only.
D. Sensitive data
We do not seek to collect sensitive personal information from site visitors. If enterprise features process sensor data (e.g., vision frames, force/torque), it is strictly for task execution, safety, and troubleshooting, configured to avoid identifying individuals and to remain on-prem by default where feasible.
3) How we use information
-
Provide, maintain, and secure the Services (accounts, authentication, provisioning, updates, safety monitoring, incident response).
-
Improve and develop features (diagnostics, analytics, quality assurance, testing) using aggregated/de-identified data where possible.
-
Communicate service notices, security alerts, and admin messages; optional product updates if you opt in.
-
Compliance & enforcement (fraud/misuse prevention; legal obligations).
We use aggregated/de-identified data for statistics and reliability engineering.
4) How we disclose information
We do not sell personal information and do not “share” it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
We disclose only to:
-
Service providers/contractors (hosting, security, analytics configured without ad tracking, email delivery, support). Bound to our instructions.
-
Your organisation (if you access under an enterprise licence, certain account/usage details may be visible to org admins).
-
Legal/safety (to comply with law or protect rights/safety).
-
Business transfers (e.g., merger). We’ll continue protections and notify of material changes.
5) Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies and limited first-party analytics. No third-party ad cookies. You can control non-essential cookies via your browser or our preferences banner (where shown).
6) Retention
-
Account/admin data: for the life of the account, then a reasonable period for audits/disputes/legal requirements.
-
Telemetry/logs: typically 30–365 days (severity and your org’s settings) then deletion or aggregation.
-
Support records: typically up to 3 years unless law or issue resolution requires longer.
When data is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
7) Security
Encryption in transit, access controls, environment isolation, logging/monitoring, and periodic reviews. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we’ll notify as required by law.
8) Your rights
California (CCPA/CPRA)
You may know/access, delete, and correct personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics. Submit requests to [privacy@pzrobotics.com] with “California Request”. We’ll verify identity/authority and will not discriminate for exercising rights.
EEA/UK/Switzerland (GDPR)
Rights may include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability. Lawful bases: contract, legitimate interests (e.g., security, improvement), legal obligation, and consent (where required). You may complain to your supervisory authority.
9) Children
Not directed to children under 13 (or 16 where applicable). If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us for appropriate action.
10) International transfers
We process data in the U.S. and other countries. Where required, we use safeguards such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
11) Enterprise & on-prem options
Many customers run our software on-prem. Your organisation controls what telemetry leaves your environment. Defaults favour keeping sensor streams local unless you enable cloud features.
12) Changes
We may update this Policy. We’ll post the new “Effective date” and, for material changes, provide additional notice (e.g., email or in-product). Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Policy.
